“We had the fantastic pleasure in spending two days with Krunal + Priyanka in documenting the celebrations of K+P uniting in marriage. With multiple days, we captured too many photos for only one, so we’re posting three blog posts… be sure you see all three of them. Up first, this post contains our favorite images from their Chicago Indian Wedding ceremony at Waterford Banquet and Conference Center in Elmhurst.

 

The Indian culture has many interesting traditions, rituals, customs and symbolic events. It was amazing to see many thousands of years old Hindu religion elements and traditions taken from South Asia, repeated here in our modern times in Chicago. Before the wedding, Krunal + Priyanka provided us with an outline and introductions to their day’s incorporated Hindu Indian wedding traditions ( like live drum music, dancing, Krunal arriving on a horse, the bride being carried away, emotional tears, and more ) but actually being there and seeing the all the various events unfold in front of us was amazing… and beyond words can describe. We greatly enjoyed photographing the day and we look forward to our next Indian wedding!! The days were action packed with so many interesting moments to photograph. Krunal + Priyanka we wish you the best of luck, thank you in including us in on your wedding ceremony festivities. It was apparent to us, with your beautiful display of love, commitment, and emotions the two of you have for each other and your families, a happy and exciting future is ahead for you two. “Ever since Priyanka + Krunal’s wedding reception we have mentioned to many friends and future wedding clients, if any of your co-workers or friends invite you to their indian wedding, don’t hesitate… you have to go. Indian receptions are so much fun! So unique, incredibly lively and entertaining… topping the action packed events that go on at an Indian wedding reception is tough.

 

Priyanka + Krunal mentioned that many of their culture’s wedding traditions, rituals and events are derived from the northwestern part of India called Gujarat. History describes the Gujarati people as vibrant and lively people who love to celebrate all their festivals and ceremonies with “great pomp and show”… Priyanka + Krunal’s Indian wedding ceremony and reception was no exception.

 

Vibrant + Lively is the perfect description of K+P’s wedding reception. Their venue was The Waterford and the reception’s banquet room was a mix of modern and traditional elements, colorful clothing, beautiful dance, Indian cuisines, modern decor and grand ambience. Beyond the start of the night including cake cutting, speeches and a first dance, also incorporated into the pre-dinner party were live performances and two animated MC’s in the center of the dance floor keeping the lineup and events coming. Unique parts of the night all taking place before dinner started were games, skits, P+K surprising their guests with the favor as a lottery ticket, and later their close friends returned a surprise with a few guest performances and dances. Without a doubt, and indian wedding reception is extremely entertaining. After dinner and when the music started, everyone was on their feet, the live drummer percussionist performed front and in center of the dance floor. The dance floor was packed and just a step away he was beating along with the DJ’s music. Before they knew it Priyanka + Krunal were lifted high above the dancing crowd.

 

Krunal + Priyanka we congratulate you two on your wedding. Thank you in including us in all of your wedding event festivities! You are such an awesome ( and not to mention gorgeous couple ) and we were thankful to be a part of the celebration. Congrats hope you enjoy the photos.”
