“Miller + Miller had an amazing Fall season busy with a number of popular month of October weddings. ( Nearly everyone in Illinois loves the Fall colors and natural beauty in the outdoors come late September, October and early November. ) Over the next few blog entries, we have several of weddings and engagement posts of photos to share. Up first is Sergio + Kristen’s Fall wedding.

 

You may remember Sergio + Kristen from their Fall engagement photography session. Photographed last Fall, we hiked around Starved Rock in Ottawa for their engagement photo session. In contrast from the engagement session day where there were many colors on the trees, on the wedding day the leaves hadn’t change too much. So when we arrived at the park, we searched for even the slightest of orange, yellow or red leaves. Sergio even climbed a tree looking for some and brought Kristen up in the tree with him. LOL But regardless of the leaves not yet changing, with Kristen incorporating vibrant punches of orange in the wedding bouquets and flowers, those arrangements added to their Fall wedding’s theme. With the wedding day also arriving on a brisk, windy and cloudy day, a huge thanks goes out to the bridal party and bride + groom who bundled up for the artistic wedding day photos at the park, the group portraits by the tranquil lake, and wedding portraits of the bride + groom. Congrats to Sergio + Kristen! We are excited about the future ahead for you two. Hope you keep in touch and let us know how your new life together unfolds! “The months of October + November have been incredibly busy for Miller + Miller! Actually, the busiest we’ve been all year. While balancing a hefty schedule of photographing weddings, commercial photo shoots, engagement photo sessions and Fall family portraits, plus juggling the varying weather forecasts – needless to say our blog has suffered. Therefore, we’re a little behind in blog entries.

 

For this photo session, simply put… Sergio and Kristen are a super cool couple! Very easy going and obviously madly-in-love with each other, they put their trust in us to create some unique engagement photos and memories. For S+K’s engagement photo session, we choose to go out West exploring a few of our favorite spots within the Starved Rock area. We had an incredible Saturday afternoon with some brisk chilly wind, but a crystal-clear, crisp blue Illinois sky. The outcome, dramatic and amazing engagement pictures! The colorful sunset paired with an incredible couple, makes for some vibrant engagement photos. We love these photos!
