“Thanks for visiting our Chicago wedding photography blog and we hope you like this new wedding post featuring Tomás + Monica’s amazing Chicago wedding day and celebration! We captured so many awesome photos, that we are featuring TWO blog entries. Up first, this post contains our favorite images from their Chicago wedding day’s events, ceremony and reception. The second post features pictures from the evening’s Rock the Drop. Wow, these were fun pics… click here to view Tomás + Monica’s Rock the Drop.
For Tomás and Monica’s downtown Chicago wedding, it was important that both their Chicago friends and out of state family and friends coming to Chicago were all able to enjoy all their favorite elements the City of Chicago has to offer. Both Monica + Tomás currently call Chicago home, but Tomás is originally from Brooklyn, New York and Monica from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. So booking their wedding weekend venue’s ( hotels, rehearsal dinner and wedding day venues ) all within the loop, just minutes from each other and their home, was a perfect solution.
Planning a wedding can be pretty complicated task ( even for someone who’s lived in Chicago their entire life ) so with Monica new to Chicago and seeing so many options in front of her, she decided to hire the wedding planning and coordination expertise of Marcy Alspach and Meghan Martinez from Here Comes The Party who already had a strong list of wedding day vendors to recommend. We highly recommend contacting Here Comes the Party. Marcy and Meghan are fun, creative, high energy, and on their toes. Plus, they helped Monica organize a collective group of amazing Chicago wedding vendors. We were honored to be a part of it. : ) They created a fun and eclectic wedding mixing in elements of both Tomás + Monica personalties in the selections of table decor, wedding details and small items reflecting each of their home towns.
A few things we especially liked… Monica’s getting ready room she booked at the W Hotel Chicago City Center, our creative W Hotel lobby photo session with Tomas + Monica, spending time out with the bridal party exploring the streets of Chicago and avoiding the Taste, Tomás music selection, personalized wedding day details ( Here Comes the Party’s coordinated table decorations catering to Monica’s career as a teacher making use of chalkboards, chalk written escort cards, and a number of outdoor elements brought indoors with bark, loose petals and flowers amidst the big city ), the unique Pazzo’s at Three Eleven’s wedding venue providing a grand, sun filled atrium setting underneath towering 50 foot tall palm trees, and the Willis tower. And served was some unbelievably tasty Pazzo’s food.
We had a blast working with you Tomás + Monica and are pretty sure we’ll be keeping in touch even though their wedding events have come to a close… really wanting to hear about you guy’s honeymoon to Fiji. Ryan and I are jealous and can’t wait to visit there one day to see it for ourselves. We hope you enjoy our Chicago wedding photography and featured memories from your day. Thanks for hiring us, we enjoyed celebrating with your family & friends. A special thanks goes out to Here Comes The Party in originally finding us on the internet and introducing us to Tomás + Monica. We hope to one day work again with you.”

Hi Lauren, Yes Chicago is an amazing City. We love it, wish it was warmer here year round but it’s great. Thanks for your comment.
Wow, these photos are amazing…just like the City itself! Love your work!
Ha ha, Thanks Tomas! You guys were awesome too.
You guys are awesome people but better photographers. Just kidding…other way around. Amazing is an understatement.
Hi lovely blog commenting people. Just last night when Ryan and I were driving back from Chicago staring at the 311 Wacker building were just saying how truly awesome Mr. and Mrs. Romano’s wedding really was! Thanks for all the beautiful comments.
The photos are unbelievable. Truly. You have captured energy and beauty in each moment. I feel the love in the smiles, creativity in the people, and the chic essence of the lovely couple.
Everyone at Here Comes the Party is grateful for your comments on the blog. We can only to hope to have couples as great to work with as Mr. and Mrs. Romano! We welcome any chance to work with Sarah and Ryan and of Miller & Miller.
Eeeee!!! These made my day! Both sets!! If these are just highlights, however are we going to choose what goes in albums?!? Seriously! You guys were so fun to work with, too! Thank you! (and humbly gracious to other commenters.)
These belong in a magazine!! Beautiful couple and awesome, awesome venues + colors. I love the one on the El.
Wow, I feel like I know you guys just because your engagement session photos were just before ours. But I don’t think your pictures could have come out any better. I really liked your venue it was very unique and all encompassing. I wish you two a happy life together.
